TANKERS
A water Tanker / Tender is a type of firefighting apparatus that specializes in the transport of water from a water source to a fire scene. They are capable of drafting water from a stream, lake or hydrant. The NFPA standard for Tankers / Tenders states that these apparatus must be capable of being filled at a rate of 1000 gallons per minute and must be able to be empty or dumped at the same rate of a 1000 gallons per minute minimum.
